Great first day on the hill.  A little windy and cold up on the lift and at the top (OK maybe a LOT) but overall not as bad as I thought it might be.  Conditions weren't too bad either, no bare patches--at most some tiny branches sticking up out of the ground.

Stratton's still pretty ridiculously flat in a lot of places...having to unstrap and push got old real fast.  Also a major lift (Ursa?) got stuck for about 15 minutes at least.  Luckily we were still in line so we ditched it.  Also a skier from our group fell off the lift and prob will never live it down, haha.

Later in the day sessioned this park with one huge-ass box and another huge ass box w/ a gap.  Didn't get too fancy, just getting my jib legs back.  It was a little annoying how long the boxes were...got stuck on a couple of attempts due to lack of speed.  Hey, not unlike some of Stratton's traverses!

Eaters Journal: Grizzly's is now calling hot chocolate + Rumplemintz "Peppermint Patties."  I thought they were called "Snugglers" a few years back.  Some people and I attacked the nachos and actually did really well in terms of eating most of it.  If any of you have experienced the nachos at Grizzly's you know this was no small feat, and you should (rightfully) bow down before me, recognizing the legend.

Tonight's dinner was at Mulberry Street, probably the most affordable sitdown restaurant in Stratton Village.  The decor was a little wacky (trying to look like NYC in a weird theme restaurant kind of way) but the food was fine, and portions were humongous.  They also got points for an unlimited salad bar.  I couldn't finish all of my penne alla vodka, so I took the rest home for breakfast for Sunday.
